This is the most elaborate slide rule made behind the iron curtain in Eastern Germany in the 1970’s. The rule is in good condition and comes with the original plastic sleeve, both made by the Reiss Company. This model is the Duplex nr. 3227, with 30 scales on both sides. The Reiss name and model number are on the rule itself and on the sleeve. It is made of plastic with plastic reinforcements on the ends as well. It has a heavy duty cursor with multiple hairlines. Curser, slide rule and sleeve are complete and in good condition with some signs of normal use and age (mostly some pen marks ink stains). It measures ca. 36,5 cm or 14 1/2 inches.
