From Philips, made in Western Germany (so pre 1989) comes this clean 1980’s design wall clock with a hint of 1970’s. The housing is an early plastic shaped in a brownish-black volcano like shape where the clock face rises out of. The movement is an early electronic movement (pre Quartz) that ticks a little louder and very reliable. It is tested for a few weeks on a large LR20 aka D 1,f Volt standard power cell (not included). The silver-gold dial has a black minute scale and a beautifully lighter 12 as only capital number. The hand shapes and the reddish second hand make the design complete. The dial reads Philips as well as H.F. (For High Frequency) and Electric, both explaining the movement. The clock measures a good 27,5 cm or 11 inches wide where the face has a 20 cm or 8 inch diameter. A great size wall clock that works well in smaller rooms and gives the room a great vibe. It is overall in very good condition with minimal signs of use and age (some small scratches on the plastic body only which are only visible up close and under a certain angle). The dial is mint as are the hands and the see-through plastic, it keeps perfect time, easy to set from the back.
