Faber Castell 2x Novo Duplex 2/83 and 2/82 slide rule full sets 1960 Germany

Combination of 2 slide rules, the Duplex 2/82 and the Novo Duplex 2/83 (predecessor of the “N” execution). Both come in their complete hard plastic boxes with model name and brand logo. Both come with their original booklet as well. In the 1960’s these were amongst the best slide rules by Faber Castell. The rules and cursors are in good condition with some signs of age and use (some yellowing). These large rules measures ca. 33 cm or 13 1/4 inches long. The 2/83 is a little earlier model with Dutch instructions, the other is a late model with very unusual silver end pieces, probably because it was made for the Spanish market (Spanish manual). The earlier plastic cursor has white edges, the later one is all see-through. The earlier box lid has turned a bit yellow due to UV. There is one insert with additional formulas (in German) and a Dutch booklet highlighting all the differences between the 2/82 and 2/83 models and their pocket size counter parts (in Dutch).
