So this one is a very unusual piece. It is made before WW2. A special commission from the US based company of C.C. Moler from Hagerstown, Maryland to be produced by Dennert & Pape from Altona, Germany. It also has a very specific lay-out, specially designed by C.C. Moler in 1925 with 2 sliders on the front and a set of spacing lines on the back. Makes me think of the Wire Slide rule Aristo (later name used by Dennert & Pape for slide rules). The cool thing I also found is the writing on the original case (rule and case also signed “Made in Germany”) that states this was indeed received by C.C. Moler and shipped to their customer Dally + Meckler in New York City. This slide rules was specially made to do calculations on electricity wires over lager distances. It is all completely working and in good condition with clear signs of use and age. The early plastic of the cursor has turned a bit darker due to UV-light, so probably used a lot outside and there are 2 larger scratches on the white laminate that does not hinder the usage. The sides of the cursor are solid metal, which is a nice touch I think and along with the 8 heavy screws it shows it was build to last. It comes in the original very study cardboard sleeve that show some signs of normal use only. It measures 27,5 cm or 11 inches wide.
