Coleman 518 Solus collapsable brass stove, made in the late 1940’s in Canada
1 in stock
This Coleman stove is a Solus type 518, made in Canada in the late 1940’s. It is a brass collapsable type stove and is a little different from Swedish and German stoves from that era. It has a fuel burning aid in the primer cup. The Coleman pump rod is off a different type with small hole that needs to be covered when building pressure and in addition it can be locked in place when not needed. All parts are signed correctly and look original. The roarer burner is complete but the ring that holds the flame spreader is no longer fixed in place but supported by a wire, perhaps due to wear or bent in the roarer tubes (price adjusted accordingly). Clear writing, nice even patina and only 2 small dents (one on top and one behind a pot holder leg). Not tested but all parts are moving. Sold as a collectors piece. Do check the YouTube video I found below to see some of these vintage stoves working!
